About Broken To Be Built

You’re here!

The fact that you’re here says you are thinking about what you need.

You’re searching for a space to do some of the best work you will ever do.

So, finding the right place and person means a lot.

I get it…

This is your moment…

…to reclaim what you want but, most importantly, what you need.

The changes in your physical body are evident, your mental health has taken a hit, and your spiritual life sucks.

Lossing sleep isn’t an option anymore. You deserve to rest!

Isolating isn’t working anymore… you need community.

The days seem longer, and barely getting by isn’t going to work for you anymore.

Pretending that everything is ok is simply not working.

All these things seem to become more overwhelming day by day.

Learning to meet life’s challenges is the goal.

As we work together, you will experience a safe space to discover yourself, process through experiences, laugh, cry, heal, and grow.

Yea, I know it may be uncomfortable. You aren’t used to being vulnerable, but let me help you focus on your strengths – the ones you forgot you had. Let me help you discover what concerns you, what excites you, what breaks you, and what builds you up so that you can make sense of the life you live.

You will feel seen and heard while working with me! You will receive encouragement from working through experiences that keep you bound and hinders you from facing new opportunities.

As a result, you will become more self-aware about your state and how to meet your daily challenges. You will grow confident as you practice new skills.

Get what you need to ENDURE…

Endurance is only obtained when people are intentional and strategic in their moves.

Endurance comes with trial and error. Therefore, it’s a continuous process of making adjustments based on your season.

This might seem like a lot, but it is necessary to live a healthy life.

About Cherrilleye Joiner

Commiting to this process takes courage, time, energy, and WORK!

It means giving yourself space and grace to look in the mirror and work through the tough stuff. Therapy isn’t a magic pill that changes life overnight. However, as you do the work in and out of sessions, you will see your growth.

I’m the right therapist for you if…

  • You are willing to take responsibility no matter the challenge
  • Be held accountable for going after what you say you want
  • Lack excuses… We will go at your pace; however, the expectation is being challenged outside your – comfort zone.
  • READY FOR CHANGE

Of course, I can relate.

Being strong has always been the goal since day one. The expectation my culture promoted and the environment I lived in emphasized being strong to survive. Little did I know that surviving was nowhere related to thriving.

While growing up, I believed that I could overcome and get through anything because I had a strong pain tolerance until I kept getting through while discovering broken pieces trailing along the way. I did not have the solutions; I needed to do the necessary work.

So, here I was, “appearing” to be a certain way in public while holding my wounds privately. Those broken pieces were pieces of me that I needed – my identity, interest, desires, esteem, MY Smile, etc.

While I did not have the answers to my problems, I was open and willing to do the work needed to get different results. One day, I committed to going “all in” for MYSELF! I knew it would be an uncomfortable and vulnerable experience, but I was ready. I knew it was MY responsibility to BET on ME! It was the best decision I ever made
